Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What Is Coaching?
Coaching is a process where a coach supports a client in achieving specific personal or professional goals through guidance, support, and feedback plus accountability. It involves a partnership where the coach helps the client explore their potential and identify areas for improvement, rather than directly teaching you or providing ready-made solutions for you. Coaching focuses on helping individuals learn, grow, and maximise their own performance.

What Is An Example Of Assertive Speech?
Assertive speech clearly communicates personal needs while respecting others. It is often used for expressing feelings, making requests, setting boundaries, handling disagreement and addressing conflict. It is direct and firm but also polite. An example is saying no without guilt.
How Do I Know If I Am Assertive?
Assertive individuals confidently express their feelings, needs and opinions directly and honestly while respecting others, maintaining a self-assured yet respectful balance. Key signs include setting firm boundaries e.g. saying no without guilt, active listening, using I statements and seeking compromises. They are not passive or aggressive but rather clear about their intentions and comfortable advocating for themselves.

It balances standing up for oneself with acknowledging others’ views.
Is Being Assertive A Good Thing?
Yes, of course.
